Can everyone get permanent make-up?

Below are reasons why you would not be a good candidate for permanent make-up.

  • Pregnant or breast-feeding

  • Botox (must wait 3 weeks after botox or get it before botox),

  • If you are using accutane (must be off of it for 1 year)

  • Laser skin resurfacing or chemical peel (must wait 8 weeks after)

  • Certain health conditions, diabetic, prone to keloid skin, skin inflammation.

  • Actively going through chemo therapy

  • Must be off blood thinners for 2 weeks

Do I have to do anything to prepare for my session?

Yes. Do not get waxing or tinting 3 days before. Stop using any skin products that contain retin A, glycolic, lactic, salicylic acid, and alpha hydroxy acids for 6 weeks prior. No alcoholic beverages for 24-48 hours prior. Must wait 2 weeks after a facial. Please do not take any pain relievers (aspirin, ibuprofen, etc…).

What is the after care?

Day 1: First 3 hours pat your brows a few times an hour with a clean, dry tissue.

Day 2-21: Always wash your hands before touching your brows. Clean with water and a gentle soap 2 times a day, pat dry. Please do not scratch, pick, or rub your eyebrows. No swimming, tanning, sweating, putting your face under the shower. Do not use any products that contain Retin A, Glycolic acids, Lactic acids, etc… Do not get a facial, laser, chemical peel.

How long does it lasts?

Depending on skin type and life style, it can last anywhere between 1-3 years and even longer with touch-ups.

Does it hurt?

We use a topical pre-numb and numb during the session. Most people are very comfortable.
